2. Increase access to information on the archaeological collections associated with the Colorado Coalfield Strike of 1913-1914 that are currently stored at the University of Denver.

The Ludlow Tent Colony and Berwind archaeological sites are precious resources that belong to all of us.  The Ludlow Tent Colony site is a National Historic Landmark that has great value to the descendants of the strikers and the United Mine Workers of America.

We ask that if you visit the site that you take care not to disturb the landscape or artifacts in anyway.  Archaeologists carefully record the placement of all materials recovered from an archaeological site. Removing objects from an archaeological site causes irreparable damage to the information than can be scientifically gathered.
